Large Industrial Foundry Molds Circa 1960s Bauhaus 1882 saw the opening ofLarge circa 1960s industrial foundry mold used in the production of machine parts via metal casting. Made from wood this mold would be pressed into sand to form a negative space, into which molten metal would be poured to create the machine part. These molds were acquired from Webster & Horsfall a 300 year old factory ( still running to this day ) in Birmingham renowned for producing steel cable.
