which would see The Russell restaurant become a high-water mark of Irish gastronomy

In 1963 The Fein family took over The Court of Two Sisters and continues (to this day) to safeguard its heritage

an aquasanium or swimming pool and sumptuous accommodation

MS Saturnia 1929 World's Fair The brainchild of Ralph BuddThis 1929 menu cover is a glamorous portrait of the nightlife on board the Italian owned Saturnia ocean liner which plied the route from Genoa to New York via Naples, Cannes and Gibraltar. Long days at sea were obviously the excuse to have parties in the evenings, though we dont think the passengers would have been quite as well dressed as the artist implies.
