As part of the Ancient Waters series, this piece was born from an unexpected loss. A treasured antique shawl was damaged by dogs and vacuum cleaners. Rather than seeing the fabric as ruined, the artist transformed pieces of it into a new creation, cutting and painting the material to evoke the mysterious movement of life beneath the oceans surface.
